Partial-ionization deconfinement effect in magnetized plasma

چکیده

In partially ionized plasma, where ions can be in different ionization states, each charge state described as a fluid for the purpose of multi-ion collisional transport. case two transport pushes plasma toward equilibrium which is found to combination local and generalized pinch relations between ion fluids representing states. Combined, these conditions lead dramatic deconfinement ions. This happens on timescale similar but not identical cross-field timescale, opposed electron-ion fully plasma. Deconfinement occurs because equilibration enforces disparity diamagnetic drift velocities components, turn leads due ion-ion friction.
